Do you still wax/tweeze?

This is a sponsored post. Read below...
I think the question should be “do you still put yourself through the trauma “of waxing or tweezing?  No? Then how do you manage to go around looking so hairy? Yes? Then I think you deserve an award! I have a very low threshold for pain so I actually cringe (or sometimes faint on the inside) when I see it being done. Ever heard of laser hair removal? Today, we are going to answer some frequently asked questions.

What causes hair growth?

This often stems from the normal biological changes we undergo throughout life. Heredity and ethnic background also play a huge role. It can also be associated with certain medications, abnormalities in the endocrine system, ovarian disorders such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (this would require a medical evaluation).

How does the laser get rid of the hair?
The laser emits a light at a certain wavelength which is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle. This light is converted to heat energy which disables the hair follicle so it will not produce another hair.

What areas of the body can be treated with laser hair removal?

All body parts can be safely treated however the eye region must be avoided.

What does it feel like?

Everyone's pain tolerance is different. Many people say laser hair removal feels like a rubber band snapping against the skin. This sensation is far less than what you would feel when waxing and tweezing. A numbing cream can be applied prior to the procedure or a cooling gel or ice can be applied before delivery of the laser pulses.

Why do hair removal methods like waxing and tweezing stimulate hair growth?

When a hair root is forcefully removed, there is increased blood supply to the area nourishing the hair follicle. When this is done regularly, the result is growth of very coarse, deep rooted hairs. Hence, continuous waxing and/or tweezing actually makes the hair growth worse.

How many sessions would I need?

Based on the research from most laser companies, it takes about six to eight treatments to achieve clearance of an area however, some clients see the improvement they need within three to four sessions and there are others who would require a whole lot more than eight sessions(please bear in mind the possible causes briefly mentioned above). Waxing and tweezing would never give the drastic improvement that would be noticed after laser hair removal.

Treatment intervals/subsequent treatments?

Research has shown that laser hair removal requires the presence of a pigmented hair shaft. Therefore, retreatment can be performed as soon as regrowth appears. Regrowth is based on the natural cycle, which varies by our different body parts, but the average time is four to six weeks.

Oh! And before you ask, our laser is absolutely suitable for the dark skin and very affordable and cost effective as well.
