Nigerians on twitter react with outrage after 112 IPOB women were arrested and imprisoned for protesting
112 women were arrested in Owerri, Imo state, after they went topless to protest and ask for the whereabouts of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.


The women, who identify as members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, were carted away for carrying out a peaceful protest and they have not been released for over five days.

Nigerians are angered by this and have called for their immediate release and it has given birth to the hashtag #FreeOwerri112.
Amongst the arrested are aged grandmothers, middle-aged women, and young women.
