National Assembly shifts resumption by two weeks
The National Assembly has postponed its resumption from Wednesday, September 25th, to resume Tuesday October 9th.

According to a statement released by the clerk of the assembly, Mohammed Sani-Omolori, the postponement is due to the forthcoming primary elections of some of the major political parties.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have scheduled their primaries within the next two weeks.
Read the statement below
“This is to inform all distinguished senators and honourable Members that resumption of plenary session earlier scheduled for Tuesday, 25th September has been postponed to Tuesday 9th October due to the activities of the primaries of the political parties. All distinguished senators and honourable members are expected to resume plenary session by 10 am on the 9th of October, please.”
