It is true that one man might not be able to change the world single handedly. But together we can make a positive difference in this big world.
Every gift, talent, ability and action shouldbe tailored towards the positive development of our environment, and where it is not doing so, it should become solutions to challenges found around us.
Over the years, the African people have faced different challenges and some of these includes outbreak of deadly viruses and diseases, poverty, hunger & famine, kidnap, human trafficking & slavery, corruption, bad political leadership and many more.
Although slavery is illegal in every country in the modern world, it still exists. Even in the narrowest definition of slavery it's likely that there are far more slaves now than there were victims of the Atlantic slave trade.
Pillars of Africa is such a project that is designed and tailored to address the pressing issues of Human trafficking in the world with focus on Africa. The plot takes us across the unacknowledged gravity of the present occurring realities of human trafficking and the intensity of the fight against it by organizations such as NAPTIP.
? Somewhere in Africa a female child is being kidnapped, raped and turned into a sex slave.
? Somewhere in Africa a boy child is being kidnapped, drugged and turned into a child soldier.
? We have knowledge about this but most turn the blind eye;
? The world knows about this but there is more we can still do about it.
? Different organizations has come forward to try to fight against this virus killing the African child
but still a complete solution is yet to be found.
? It’s time for we as Africans to rise and help save the PILLARS OF AFRICA
? It’s time for us all to put our differences aside and save the future of the African child;
On the 8th of October, 2018 a memorandum of understanding was signed between Heatfactory ICI, Otabor Media T.V and The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) which marks the beginning of the collaborative journey between the organizations in the fight against Human trafficking, sex slavery, Child soldiery and all other illegalities associated with such activities across Africa and the world in entirety. In our pursuit of ensuring a traffic free society, we call onto the various National and international organizations created to further the development of Humanity, we call unto the government organizations and non-governmental organizations, and most of all we call unto the general public both locally and internationally to rise up, and support us in our fight to save the future of the African children through our joint collaboration and cooperation in action.
With this film we aim to pass a message not only to us as NIGERIANS OR AFRICANS but to the world in general which is:
‘’for every time we pick up our guns and bombs to fight a war... We must remember that we are not only killing ourselves but we are killing our children born and yet to be born’’
